A team of professionals leads The Avenues Clinic with a combined experience that ensures the hospital its place as a leader in Zimbabwe’s medical field. The clinic includes seven department headed by highly trained professionals and supported by a team of motivated subordinates. The department heads report to managing director Merissa Kambani, who in turn reports to the board of directors of Medical Investments Ltd (MIL), the clinic’s holding company.
Managing Director - Merissa Kambani
Mrs. Merissa Kambani joined the Avenues Clinic in 1994 as a Bookkeeper and she has risen through the ranks over the years. Other positions that she held are Accountant, Finance Manager and Company Secretary respectively. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, Diploma in C.I.S and her aspiration is to obtain a PhD. She has 16 years experience of working in the medical field. Merissa Kambani is a young and dynamic professional who believes in outstanding performance in everything she does. She is motivated by application of best business practices and creation of innovative and effective change in business culture. She is a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Harare West and sits on their Board as the Administration Director.
Chief Finance Officer : Mr Searchmore Chaparadza – CA (Z), MBL (Unisa)
Mr Searchmore Chaparadza is the Chief Finance Officer of Medical Investments Limited (MIL) with effect from 1 October 2015. He joined MIL from the First Mutual Group. He joined First Mutual Life Assurance Company (Private) Limited in June 2010 as the Finance Manager and rose to the position of Head of Finance for fellow group company First Mutual Health Company (Private) Limited, after successfully participating in the growth and demerger of the health division of the group. He held this position from September 2014 to the time he joined MIL. Mr. Chaparadza is a Chartered Accountant by profession, registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe. He has over six years post qualification experience after training with Ernst & Young Zimbabwe. He is also a holder of a Masters in Business Leadership (Unisa), and majored in corporate strategy and organisational transformation. Mr. Chaparadza is married to Pamela with one child.
Human Resources Manager: Josephy Chitombo
Mr. Chitombo joined the Avenues Clinic from Meikles Africa Hotels. He brings with him nine years of experience in human resources, industrial relations and payroll administration having worked in a number of industrial sectors including engineering, motor, construction, commercial and hospitality. Mr. Chitombo has embraced the challenge of working in the medical field with enthusiasm and believes he is contributing positively to the growth of both the Avenues Clinic and himself.
Maintenance Manager : Jotrevah Ndlovu
Mr. Ndlovu started his working life in 1981 as an assistant mechanic for Menson Engineering in Bulawayo before moving on to join a cast iron engineering company as a moulder in Marondera.He has been a part of the Avenues Clinic family since 1988 where he has, through the in-house staff development program, acquired expertise in assembling and repair of steam generators, installation and repair of electrical gadgets. He was also trained in the assembly and repair of autoclaves after which he was promoted to Autoclave Technician. Thereafter, in the year 2000 Ndlovu was appointed Workshop Administrator until last year when he was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor.
